Art is life…
and it always has been for me. My parents kept paintings I made from the age of 2, just because they had a gut feeling. And they were right. Like life itself, art is a journey, and for me the destination doesn’t matter. It’s all about what you create on the way. Lately, everything I have been painting has brought me nothing but joy. It has turned pain into power, pain into purpose, and as a whole it has given me confidence and a sense of success. I’m excited to reintroduce myself to the world after a long time of hiding.

Creating the backdrop is where I tend to pour out all my emotions. Anxiety, fear, joy, sadness- all of this comes out through the paintbrush. The choice of colors directly expresses how I’m feeling. If you can’t quite interpret it, or find a pattern, it’s probably because it only makes sense in my head. When it comes to filling in the white outline of the flowers, is where I seem to process everything. Small even sized hashmarks to add color. When you add multiple layers to each petal, it ends up taking hours. To me, it’s just another form of meditation.
